Great style, I like the way the drawing pops out of the surrounding white space.
nice style and good composition. Though the line work is very light, every line feels very specific which really helps the piece hold together. I do wonder if the shrubs could have had a different treatment. The trees feel pretty natural, but the shrubs are a bit stiff.
The piece reminds me of when I was in the USCG on Kodiak, Ak. A bunch of us were planning on buying large-bore handguns for 'bear protection', but an old sourdough brought us back to earth:
"You'd better be filin' the sights off them guns."
"Why?"
"So's it won't hurt so much when the bears take 'em away from ya and shove 'em up yer ass"
Thanks for the feedback, everyone...I just found IF two weeks ago and think it's a great way to excercise. arkonbey, I've never been to AK but I'm with the old fella!
